Who I Am
My name is Eric Wacaster and I’m the founder of The Hot Springs Estate Planning Law Firm. I was in law enforcement for over 20 years, a former prosecutor, and the Chief Legal Counsel for a 1,400-person Arkansas state agency. For nearly 16 years, I patrolled right here in Hot Springs. When you sit down with me, you’re not getting a lawyer who read about this town. You’re getting one who served it.

Why I Do This
I’ve seen what happens when families don’t plan. I lived it….. twice.
When my grandfather passed without an estate plan, my grandmother was forced from the
home they’d shared. Nobody had ever told them what would happen. That’s not right.
My other grandmother developed dementia. “Insurance experts”, people with no business
giving legal advice, steered our family in the wrong direction. Her life savings were swallowed by
nursing home costs that proper planning could have protected. With the right Medicaid planning
and long-term care strategy, her life savings would have been protected. That’s not a sales
pitch. That’s just the truth. I wasn’t an attorney then. I wish I knew then what I know now.
